SweetSpot Business Advisors SMS Consent

SweetSpot Business Advisors sends low-volume operational text messages to its own employees and authorized team members about their phone extension — incoming call alerts, voicemail notifications, and message notifications. This page documents how that consent is obtained.

How employees give consent

SMS alerts are opt-in. An employee turns them on with a checkbox in their authenticated employee settings for the SweetSpot phone system. The checkbox is optional and is unchecked by default; an employee receives operational text alerts only after they check it themselves. SMS consent is separate from voice call forwarding — enabling or disabling call forwarding does not turn SMS on or off, and enabling SMS alerts is a distinct, separate choice.

The consent checkbox reads:

"I consent to receive SweetSpot operational text alerts for my extension. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help."

Scope: messages are operational alerts tied to the employee’s own extension — incoming call alerts, voicemail notifications, and message notifications. SweetSpot does not use this campaign for marketing, promotional offers, third-party lead generation, lending, age-gated content, or unrelated messages.

External business contacts

SweetSpot does not enroll external business contacts into SMS. SweetSpot sends a text to an external contact only as a reply inside a text conversation that the contact has already started by texting SweetSpot first, and only about that interaction. There is no public text-message sign-up form, no verbal or written SMS enrollment of external contacts, and no SMS consent collected through phone calls or voicemail.

Opting out

An employee can stop the alerts at any time by replying STOP, by unchecking the SMS-alerts box in their employee settings, or by asking an administrator to remove their mobile number from the phone system. Reply HELP for help. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
